Our Vison

HT23 was founded on the guiding principles of commitment to quality products, building valuable relationships, intentional community impact, and creating space for others. This is how we operate internally not only as a company, but for our customers, and community as well.

1

Commitment to Quality.

Creating exceptional high-quality cannabis products, while providing our staff with an unequivocal positive employment experience is the standard at HT23. Our team members are pivotal in rewriting the narrative about cannabis and moving the industry forward.

2

Relationship Building

We understand that strong positive partnerships are key to organizational longevity and success. We prioritize cultivating these types of relationships not only with our own team, but also with HT23 investors, business partners, vendors, and local organizations.

3

Intention & Impact

Our goal is to not only grow and process the best products, but to simultaneously grow communities as well. HT23 prioritizes training, hiring and providing opportunities for upward mobility to residents, while stimulating the economy of local businesses within the community we call home.

4

Creating Space

HT23 provides educational and economic opportunities for BIPOC communities. This is done by designing and implementing programmatic initiatives that support employees, community members, and other social equity licensees to sharpen transferable business skills that can be used in the cannabis industry and beyond. This is the core of who we are and a part of our commitment to creating a space that fosters equity within the cannabis industry.
It is our ultimate goal to provide high quality products that promote wellness and encourage customer loyalty, while simultaneously reinvesting into our community.

Heal. Grow. Thrive.

The HT23 vision is to serve as Illinois’ premier cannabis cultivation operation. As an African-American owned business, we are committed to community revitalization and providing residents with the opportunity to fuel economic development and growth within our community.

Healing is provided by the plant. Partnerships allow us to grow, and as a result, our community thrives.

1

The Plant

We understand that although this is a business, it is rooted in health and wellness provided by an amazing plant. HT23 is not only a cannabis company consisting of high-quality brands and product offerings, but also a conduit to community reinvestment. Through the plant, we are enabled to offer economic opportunities to the community and begin the healing process.

2

The Community

We are optimistic and confident that our company is not only sustainable, but scalable, and will ultimately be not only one of the most successful cannabis cultivation operations in the state of Illinois, but most impactful as well. We are grateful to have been welcomed by The City of Chicago Heights and look forward to not only employing residents from the community, but also bringing more consumers and visibility to neighboring businesses by supporting the local economy in a more vibrant way. We are also committed to creating opportunities for social equity licensees to have access to an industrial workspace to develop and grow their brands as well. These are some of the positive impact we look forward to reinvesting into our partner community through our operations.

The Partnerships

At HT23 we believe in the power of collaboration with not only the community, but also within the cannabis industry. We have established partnerships with some of the largest licensed cannabis businesses in Illinois and neighboring states. And it is through collaboration that HT23 has been afforded the ability to leverage and expand its reach by entering new markets both in and outside of Illinois. Collaboration has enabled us to independently grow capital, scale our company, and establish mutually beneficial business partnerships for years to come.

We also understand the importance of collaborating with the local organizations doing the heavy lifting to support this industry. This is why HT23 regularly engages in advocacy efforts with organizations like Illinois Women in Cannabis, Illinois Independent Craft Growers Association, Illinois Minority Cannabis Business Owners, Cannabis Equity Illinois Coalition, Chicago NORML, The Calhoun Foundation, and NorthStar Minority Cannabis Association. Through these connections and collaborations we not only advocate for ourselves, but also future business owners becoming successful entrants and the viability of the cannabis industry in Illinois overall.
