Our Story

Our current and future efforts will always be in the spirit of adding value to historically disenfranchised communities.

As one of the first 100% Black-owned, craft grow licensees in the state of Illinois, we are committed to changing the perception of cannabis, supporting community revitalization efforts, and providing residents with the opportunity to fuel economic development and growth within their community.

There are countless Disproportionately Impacted Areas (DIA) across Illinois where there have been high rates of people from our community incarcerated for violating anti-marijuana laws, communal poverty, and lack of employment. Setting up HT23 operations in Chicago Heights as our company home allows us to be positive change agents for one of the many DIA’s most impacted by these conditions in our state.

At HT23 equity and inclusion aren’t just catch phrases and buzzwords to us. They are our mantra and it is evidenced by how we run our company, the professional opportunities we create, and the cultural demographic we continue to prioritize, serve, and support. We are committed to remaining 100% Black Owned and to our overall goal of empowering and elevating each other.
